Navigating between industrial aesthetics, climate fiction (“cli-fi”), and a fascination with toxicity, the siblings (Maëva and Arnaud) of the Grapain collective explore, through sculpture, installation, and video, the dystopian territories of the contemporary world. Residents at the Wonder workshops (FR), their interest in landscape transformations caused by industry, wastelands, and post-reconstruction urbanism leads them to develop an imaginary world around “technological carcasses” and “neo-archaeologies,” evoking surveillance and telecommunication technologies as well as nuclear and polluting activities, which are central to their practice. Their work was presented at the 69th Salon de Montrouge (FR) in 2026 and received the Eco-Design Art Prize in 2025.
