IVÁN ARGOTE invited for a two-year residency by Sèvres-Manufacture and national museum
Signed in 2019, the partnership between the ADIAF and Sèvres-Manufacture et Musée nationaux enables an artist from the Marcel Duchamp Prize to be invited for a two-year residency at the Manufacture de Sèvres and thus experience the art of ceramics.
After Thu-Van Tran (nominated in 2018) and Katinka Bock (nominated in 2019), Iván Argote has been chosen for a 3rd residency following the call for projects launched last June among the artists of the 2021 and 2022 editions.
Nominated for the Prix Marcel Duchamp in 2022, the artist proposed the project “WE ARE MELTING – NOUS FONDONS”, which was selected by a jury comprising members of Sèvres – Manufacture et Musée nationaux and ADIAF collectors.
His residency will run from December 2023 to September 2025.
An exhibition of the artist’s work produced during the residency will be organized in 2025.
