6 - Emergence
Launched in 2022 by the ADIAF with the support of its patron Catawiki, the ADIAF Emergence Grants are a new program to support the international professional development of the young French visual arts scene : artists, art critics and/or curators under the age of 40. The new feature of the second edition is that the Emergence Grants are open to students from two art schools : the Villa Arson in Nice and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nantes-Saint-Nazaire, whose students or young graduates will be included in the selection of grant recipients by their teaching teams.
The 280 applications received were judged by a jury that met in Paris on May 12, 2023 :
Ouissem Barbouchi, ADIAF Member ; Ronan Grossiat, General Secretary ; Cyrille Coiffet, General Manager of Catawiki for Arts and Antiques ; Tatiana Ruiz, Senior Expert in Contemporary Art ; Antoine d’Agata, photographer ; Marine Vazzoler, journalist and art critic ; Anne Bourrassé, Laureate of the 2023 Grant “Art Critic / Exhibition Curator” category.
