Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain 

Born respectively in 1974 and 1973 in Brazil, they live and work in Paris. 

Represented by Martine Aboucaya, Paris, LMNO, Brussels, Vera Cortës, Lisbon and Vermehlo, São Paulo. 

Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain have been working together for over 20 years. With backgrounds in semiology-linguistics and graphic design, the duo quickly established themselves on the international scene with a subtle reflection on protocol art tinged with current sensations and narratives. They draw from both scientific and literary research to create systems of representation and writing of time, space, memory, and infinity, thus pursuing an inquiry into the major role of language. 

As connoisseurs of concrete poetry, they are generally in search of new writings with unprecedented materiality and, through the implementation of extremely rigorous systems, they invent creation processes and reading grids of infinite poetry.
