Younès Ben Slimane is a Tunisian filmmaker, photographer, and architect. He studied at the National School of Architecture and Urbanism in Tunis before joining Le Fresnoy – National Studio for Contemporary Arts in 2020. His practice lies at the intersection of cinema, architecture, and visual arts. By revisiting specific sites, his work reactivates unresolved possibilities, disrupts dominant timelines, and constructs other worlds in search of traces, gestures, and atmospheres. His work has been exhibited at the Dakar Biennale (Senegal), the Mucem in Marseille (France), and the Zaha Hadid Foundation in London (UK). His films have been selected for international festivals including Locarno (Switzerland) and CPH:DOX (Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival). Younès Ben Slimane has been a resident at Villa Medici and the Thalie Foundation. His works are part of art collections, notably those of the MACBA in Barcelona, the Institut d’art contemporain Villeurbanne, and the KADIST Foundation (Paris – San Francisco).
