College, “Artist, Call for Applications”
Nathan Ghali, a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the École d’Arts in Cergy, develops a practice situated between video art and cinema, utilizing 3D animation and photography. His works, enriched with fragmentary narratives and autobiographical experiences, childhood memories, solitude, communication difficulties, question memory, language, and the construction of images. By subverting online resources and standardized elements of computer-generated imagery, he creates stories where the real and the simulated contaminate each other, completing and rewriting his personal history. His work has been presented at the Salon de Montrouge, the Prix Dauphine for contemporary art, and in international festivals such as the Berlinale and Telluride.
